Battle of the Citrus

Out of all the fruits in the world, there is one category of fruits that is vast and very versatile. This versatile fruit group is citrus. Some citrus fruits have similar tastes, such as oranges and clementines. They both are orange and have the taste that can only be described as orangey. The main difference between them is size. The orange is about the size of an apple, while the clementine is about half the size and can easily fit in the hand of a child, which makes it great for portability. It is easy to peel and the pieces are bite size which makes it good for a snack. It also has a nice sweet taste with every bite; you can feel all the juice gushing out of it. Clemintines are great for little kids because they are extremely easy to peel and eat, unlike oranges which can be a hassle because of its thick peel. They are also not as messy as oranges since the slices are smaller and most of the juice stays in your mouth. But there is no match for orange juice when it comes to orange like juice. Although tangerine juice is pretty good as well it can be too sweet sometimes. Orange juice just has a perfect balance of tart and sweet, which makes it a good way to start the day. Another thing orange are good for is cooking, by using its zest in things like cheesecake.  It’s also good to use in Asian cooking as one of the best is made with oranges, orange chicken. Some of the best desserts are made with oranges, and my favorite of those is orange sherbet, which has a nice and creamy texture. So oranges are good for cooking but clementines are good for just eating, and I would suggest that you not try putting clementines in cupcake, it’s not the best combination.
