Eventful Morning Ends the Week

At the beginning of every month, Westminster holds a large meeting during homeroom for middle schoolers and high schoolers. The assembly for the month of April was held on Friday the 8th and was perhaps one of the most eventful school mornings of the year. This particular day began with a few important announcements and then the traditional Artist of the Month awards.
Afterwards, the “Nerd Herd” came up on stage while Mr. Dahlman described their latest accomplishments and talked about the state meet coming up soon. Little did the “Nerd Herd” know that they were going to be honored, furthermore, by a special video tribute made by Study Hall Films and WCS’s very own extremely talented Pep club. The video was a big success and had the whole audience smiling and laughing.  Promptly after this video, a brief video regarding Sports Nite was shown. After this, Mr. Palmer wanted to show an important video from Comcast Sports Net that featured Westminster Christian School and their participation in the “Free-Throws for Heroes” fundraiser event.
Next came a few announcements about prom, and a nice slideshow including pictures of the boat on which prom will take place. When this was finished, students were dismissed and everyone went to class. Overall, Friday morning was quite busy and eventful. It included laughs, information, awards, and announcements. Look forward to next month’s homeroom assembly because there’s always something entertaining and fun going on. Don’t miss it!
