Working Out

Now you might think that to work out you would have to buy a gym membership and go to a gym every day and work out. Although this might be true for some, this is not true for students at Westminster who can join the all new Fitness Club. They do various workout videos in Mrs. Schwartz room every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, including the infamous P90X.  This allows students to stay in shape without joining a sport and gives them more free time and flexibility to get homework done. This flexibility and versatility is what Whitney Vanden Bos (who is the leader of the Fitness Club) is counting on in the hopes of enticing people to join and get fit!
Now for those of us who are insane enough to join a sport and in the process forfeit all the free time that you had up until that point. I am here to tell you that joining a sport is not all bad. For example you are able to socialize with people you do not usually have the opportunity to talk to at school. Also, if you become good enough you can play sports in College and get scholarship money. Imagine that, you can get paid to play sports! Things like these make joining a sport worthwhile and should be considered when you are selecting your after school activities.  Staying fit helps us in every part of our life here on earth, from walking up stairs to receiving scholarship money for College.
