The Westminster Christian girls basketball team went into the St. Eds Regional as the number 2 seed and would play Willows Academy.
The Lady Warriors started strong and held a big lead for most of the game. However, Willows Academy clawed their way back into the game and took a two point lead into the final 2 minutes of the game.
The Warriors would respond though with a Katie Moeller layup and two Claire Speweik free throws to give the Warriors the lead once again. Whitney Vanden Bos relinquished any doubt in the final outcome of the game with two free throws to put the Warriors up 4 with about 15 seconds left in the game.
The Warriors pulled out a hard fought 45-41 win and advanced to play St Eds for the Regional Championship. The Warriors were led by Katie Moeller (10 points) Katie Surrat (9 points) and Claire Speweik (9 points).
