"Soul Surfer" is the inspiring true story of teen surfer, Bethany Hamilton. She lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, through sheer determination and unwavering faith.
Bethany went through a terrible shark accident while she was surfing and her whole arm was taken off. She felt as if all hope was lost until she started receiving surprising mail. Her fans were also going through some physical problems and were looking forward to her competing again. She soon realized that she needed to have faith, even in this trying time. With all her fans supporting her, she began to have faith.
This movie could inspire those who are going through rough times. "Soul Surfer" reveals the moving aftermath of this headline-making story, as Bethany fights to recover and grapples with the future. Strengthened by the love of her parents, she refuses to give in or give up, and begins a bold return to the water. She has wondered if she didn’t have surfing what she would do, and who she will be in the end of all of this.
Soul Surfer doesn’t have an exact release date but is said to come out this summer.
