This week at the box office

This past weekend at the box office it was a close call between three new films.

Adam Sandler's newest romantic comedy “Just Go With It” is at the top with 31.0 million. Right behind in second is the Justin Beiber film “Never Say Never” which brought in 30.3 million. The third top grossing film of the week was the animated comedy “Gnomeo and Juliet.” After these three movies there is a drastic jump down to the next film. Number four on the list, “The Eagle,” only made 8.6 million.

A quick look at the box office shows just how depressing a state Hollywood is in at the moment. These films are just movies that exploit popular actors or musicians just trying to make an easy buck without any creative writing or filming involved whatsoever.

Hopefully this is just a bad week and we will experience much better films in the weeks to come.
