Women's rights ignored worldwide

A recent study found that in Asia, women workers account for nearly 50 percent of agricultural production. Shockingly, most of these women go unpaid because of their gender.

The culture is different on each and every continent regarding gender. In the West, equality is something that the culture prides itself on, but unfortunately the rest of the world hasn’t followed the example.  Most women in other societies are underprivileged, underpaid, and maltreated. Because of culture in current societies women don’t have anyone to reach out to and no one to demand fair treatment from. All around the world women aren’t allowed to keep their children, work for pay, or allowed proper necessities for life and the maintenance of their families; because of their gender. Why should women be deprived of doing things or making choices that would better society and the lives of billions on all continents?

As a heavily influential part of society, Americans should stand up to make a difference so that women and young girls around the world can live in peace and equality.
