Prom 2011

Prom: a night that will be remembered as the closing to the year. Prom: a night that will be remembered as the last school social event before the seniors leave and go on with their lives beyond high school. Prom: a night full of dancing, food, and enjoying your classmates company. This past weekend the juniors and seniors of Westminster Christian school had the opportunity to go downtown Chicago to enjoy a night cruise. The 2011 Prom will go down in Westminster Prom history, the Proms to come have some very high standards to live up to. The food at was very delectable, and there were many options. There was barbeque beef brisket, garlic herb chicken, pasta with red sauce, sweet corn mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and bread rolls. The desserts were just as delectable and there were just as many options to choose from. The table settings and placements were perfect and the center pieces enchanting. And the dance floor, although very small, helped the students to bond and that in order for everyone to fit people needed to be rather considerate of space. The chaperones were superb and you could tell that the love for the student body was outrageous and that they truly desired to be a part of the celebration of the closing year. Seniors have said that, “this prom is better than any other.” That statement comes from a girl who’s gone to three total proms. The gowns were extravagant, the hair curled to perfection, the tuxes very sharp. Everything about the 2011 prom was wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed.
