As the school year comes to a close, so do many spring sports—particularly track. This spring has been an exceptionally great track season for the Westminster Warriors. With the coaching help of Coach Cochran and Coach Ron, the track team has grown and reached new levels. It is no doubt that everyone on the team has been able to become better athletes throughout the season.
Although the season has been relatively short this year, there have been many good times indeed. At the beginning, most of the team was able to bond through fun activities like laser-tag. We were even brought closer together (literally) during freezing cold track meets in which blankets were shared while people huddled together. Overall, I’m pretty sure that most of us would even consider the team to have a family-like environment.
With girls’ sectionals being on Friday and the boys’ next week, the track season is unfortunately almost over. The sectional meet is not necessarily the end though. If any girls or guys do well enough in their next meet, they will be able to travel down state to compete for one last time this year. You can show your support by coming to sectionals and please don’t forget to pray for our athletes.
