Rotary Club Luncheon

On Monday of this week, ten students from Westminster were honored at the annual Rotary Club luncheon. Luke Carani, Maureen Sleeting, Sarah McIntire, Brittany Booth, Frank Oliver, Kyle Christensen, Courtney Gnan, Lauren Mason, Samantha Hoyt, and Austin Lamp were all in attendance.

The Rotary Club is an international organization that promotes leadership and also sponsors scholarships along with many other academic and global services. Every year the Rotary Club of Elgin holds this luncheon to honor “straight-A” students and this year the luncheon was once again held at Judson University.

At the beginning of this event, the principals from each school briefly spoke and congratulated their students on their hard work throughout the semesters. Afterwards, the speaker, Mr. Michael Caruso, gave the students and parents a speech about the importance of school and working hard. Later he even allowed people in the audience to give their own advice to the students about this topic.
