NASCAR is Out of Control

In recent years, professional sports boards have worked to make their sports safer for both the players as well as the fans. One notable change is the NFL’s new rule on helmet to helmet contact to stop concussions and other head injuries around the league. Also, Major League Baseball now requires all third base coaches to wear helmets. However, one sport in particular has made no changes to make their sport any safer; in fact, it has become more barbaric than ever. Plain and simple, NASCAR is out of control.
For years now, it appears that going to a NASCAR race has been nothing more than an excuse for rednecks to get intoxicated and be crazy. As if that weren’t crude enough, now NASCAR can’t even keeps its drivers under control. Recently, owner Richard Childress reportedly attacked Busch after the Truck Series race in Kansas because Busch had bumped one of his team’s trucks during the race. How can these savages be trusted to drive cars at speeds upwards of 200mph and remain composed if they can’t even restrain themselves to back down from a fight with a fellow driver?
NASCAR is by far the most unsophisticated and vulgar “sport” ever conceived. NASCAR gives other countries the perception that Americans are as uncultured as those dreadful NASCAR fans. America needs to be restored to the proper society it once was. The nation needs to come together and get rid of NASCAR entirely. I assure you that the so-called “fans” will find something else to waste their time on.
