Things You May Not Know About Dreams

When it comes to dreams, they might be things you don't remember, or even don't believe happen to you. Or perhaps you're aware of many of your dreams and may experience recurring dreams on a regular basis.

The truth of the matter is, everyone has dreams whether you are conscious of them or not. Within the average life span, about six years are spent on dreaming. Each night, it is possible to have anywhere from four to seven dreams. However, a lack in dream activity can be due to a protein deficiency or a type of personality disorder.

Researchers have proven that brain waves are more active while an individual sleeps than when he or she is awake. A random, yet interesting fact, is that blind people dream too; depending on the point in their life when they became blind, they may or may not have any visual images in their dreams. Rather, they experience dreams of the other senses, especially sounds. After five minutes of awakening from or ending a dream, half of it will have already been erased from your memory. Within ten minutes, ninety percent of it will have disappeared. While dreaming, females tend to come across deja vu more often then males.

These are just a handful of the many interesting facts and statistics about the dreams people undergo.
