Teens planking across the nation

Last year, when people heard the word planking, they thought of getting down on their elbows and holding their bodies up in a straight position for seconds to minutes.

In just months, the word planking had gotten a whole new meaning. Now, planking means to lie in a straight position on any object or surface, capture it with a camera, and upload it to Facebook.

Each picture has become more and more creative.  Teenagers are planking on cars, benches, tables, chairs--any structured piece of cement at a park or area. Anything that people can find a way to plank on, they do.

Some believe planking is immature and a disrespect to property, but there is no stopping these dedicated plankers. They are all searching places or objects to plank on to get the best picture and post it for everyone to see and comment.

Planking has rapidly spread throughout America and isn’t about to slow down anytime soon. Teens are finding new ways and positions to take pictures.

Slowly, Batmanning is now spreading from town to town, coast to coast. This is when a person hangs themselves by their feet from the top of a door. It starts to make you wander what crazy idea teens will come up with.  What insane level are these young adults going to go to next?
