Tae Kwon Do, one of the Korean martial arts, is very famous in the United States. However, there is a martial art in Korea that nobody knows about. It is called Taekkyon; it is probably one of the unpopular martial arts and it is getting forgotten. I've got to know about this martial art from one of my teachers in Korea. This is also called a traditional dance of Korea and it has remained for such a long time.
The music in the backgroud is very different from any other music. The participants take steps, then they attack with a kick, throws, and locks. It looks very goofy to watch, but from my view I think it is very hard to keep taking steps, listening to the music for the right rhythm, and attacking the opponent.
